Fasts have a tendency to be oriented
towards things like giving up food or even TV.
But there are many other ways to welcome
Gods healing & divine touch.
Here are a few suggestions for consideration :
1. Fast from anger & hatred. Give your family an extra dose of love each day.
2. Fast from judging others. Before making judgments , think about how God overlooks our own faults.
3. Fast from discouragement. Hold onto God's promise & He has the perfect plan for you.
4. Fast from complaining. When you find yourself about to complain , close your eyes & recall moments of joy God has given you.
5. Fast from resentment or bitterness. Work on forgiving those that may have hurt or wronged you.
6. Fast from spending too much money. Try to reduce your spending by 10%. Contribute that towards some charity for those in greater need of it.
